In More Than One Space

This is a link to some other pieces I have been working, all experimental work, but will hopefully lead to some interesting results. Including an online book containing group and individual work and an exhibition during the week of Student as Producer at the University of Lincoln.

The work is based around the workshop In More Than One Space where I get the opportunity to experiment using overhead projectors, slide projectors and using spaces in new and exciting ways. As well as a visit to The National Centre for Craft and Design in Sleaford, Lincolnshire (http://www.nationalcraftanddesign.org.uk/) to see an installation by Gabriel

Lighting Effects

Use of lighting mimicking the colours of the balloons, gave me ideas about using strobe lighting to reflect migraines in a future piece.

A collection of photos taken using continuous shooting of the suspended balloons falling.

Balloon Experimentation

Whilst in the studio I decided to experiment with suspending a larger quantity of balloons  raising and lowering them while laying underneath this gave quite a good effect.
Another balloon bar graph, this time accurate for the 14th to the 20th of November 2011
Experimenting with the quantity and positioning of balloons, this didn't really lead anywhere.

The carnage left after all of the balloons had been popped.

TV Studio

Back in the tv studio tonight, hopefully will be experimenting with video and more lighting effects.

So more photos and videos up shortly

Cheesecake Pie Charts

After the failure of using apple pie, I switched to using cheesecake as I thought it would be a more stable substance, this did work better but it was near impossible to get the smaller slices that I wanted, but it did produce sharp edges.

Pie Pie Charts

The following pictures are my first attempt at recreating a pie chart using an apple pie, using the data I had collected this time showing the amount of times I had used an application on my phone.

However this didn't work as I had hoped as it was to unstable and difficult to cut this meant I could't get the detail I wanted

Balloon Work

This series of pictures shows a bar graph displayed in an alternative way, after collecting data about myself for several months I wished to express the data in new and exciting ways. The numbers and length of ribbon represent the amount of times I clicked my finger nails together with each different balloon representing a different day, these pictures are from Monday the 7th November to the 13th.

Enjoy

Kathryn
